When I’m making oatmeal or having a bowl of cereal for breakfast, I often have a hard time trying to pour the right amount into the bowl. I always seem to end up with way too much for a healthy serving.
Last year I bought an extra set of inexpensive stainless steel measuring cups. After I washed them, I stuck one in my oatmeal canister. Now I just scoop out the appropriate serving size according to the nutrition label and stick the measuring cup back in the canister for next time. It’s also great because the measuring scoop is ready to go when I’m baking and need oatmeal in my favorite oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe.
This simple, inexpensive investment makes my mornings super easy, saves time, and allows me to always know I’m eating the right portion. This also works for cereal too.
