A Dustpan and Brush Set for Little Helpers

My 19 month old son loves to help around the house. Since he’s been imitating Mommy and Daddy by dragging the broom around to help "clean up" the kitchen, we decided to get him his very own dust pan and brush.  I found a super cute Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Augie Alligator Dustpan and Brush set.

As I began to teach him how to use his dust pan and brush to help sweep crumbs off the floor, he heard me say the word brush and immediately put the big alligator brush to his head and started brushing his hair! I couldn’t help but laugh. It was so cute, but not quite the kind of brushing I was talking about.
