This week we needed to restock fruits and veggies as well as a few other staples.
Our first stop was Sam’s Club, where we purchased lots of fresh fruits and veggies. My husband was excited when we stumbled across a clearance on a big box of Belgium Assorted Biscuits (Almond Thins, Waffle Crisps, and Chocolate Cinnamon Thins) for $1.51. Although this is not my typical healthy food purchase, they have no trans fats or other odd ingredients so I decided to get them to enjoy as a “once in a while” treat. I’m going to stick the box in the freezer and only pull out a couple at a time so they don’t all disappear too quickly!
6 Lbs. Apples: $4.98
3 Lbs. Bananas: $1.48
2 Lbs. Strawberries: $3.98
5 Lbs. Lean Ground Turkey: $9.82 ($5 Jennie-O Rebate)
6 Heads of Artisan Lettuce: $3.98
5 Lbs. Carrots: $2.74
Belgium Assorted Cookies: $1.51 (Clearance Item)
26 Oz. Natural Peanut Butter: $3.72
18 Eggs: $2.99
1 Gal. Orange Juice: $4.98 (Redeem Juicy Rewards points for BOGO Admission to the zoo)
Organic Milk: $3.12
Sam’s Club Total: $43.30 - $5 Mail In Rebate = $38.40
Then it was onto Walmart to purchase the remaining items on our list. The highlight of this trip was finding a pair of clearance light-up Thomas the Train sneakers for our rapidly growing 1 year old son. We also purchased a package of Huggies Little Swimmers to get ready for an upcoming vacation and swimming season. We love to go swimming and with the high value $3 off any Huggies coupon on Coupons.com, it is definitely time to stock up on diapers!
Huggies Little Swimmers: $9.97 ($3 Huggies Coupon)
Shoes: $6.00 (Clearance Item)
Asparagus (1.03 Lbs.): $2.06
Cilantro: $.84
Corn Tortillas: $3.72
Lemons: $2.50
Kiwi: $.33
Onion: $1.55
Pineapple: $2.50
Split Peas: $.96
Walmart Total: $30.43 - $3 Huggies Coupon = $27.43
